Struggling in Reading or Study Skills?

I have a non-traditional approach to teaching and learning. It's not pencil and paper based or lecture based. I engage the learner in every way! I determine the best way to help my students grasp information. I understand that each student is unique and personalize instruction. I specialize in early childhood (PreK-3) and elementary education (K-6). I have over 10 years of experience in the field of education. I've taught just about every grade level including PreKindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade and 5th Grade! I obtained a bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia with a concentration in early childhood and elementary education as well as a master's degree in education from Northeastern University with a concentration in adult and organizational learning. Also, I minored in theater arts. I have teaching experience in several school districts in both Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia to include Fairfax County Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, D.C. Public Schools, Manassas City Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools. I am familiar with the Common Core State Standards and Virginia Standards of Learning.
