I spent 33 years as an elementary classroom teacher before retiring in 2015. In 2016 I became an online reading tutor in order to continue the best part of teaching -- working one on one with a child and seeing the moment of realization in their eyes of a new understanding or success. I nurture the necessary reading skills in order to raise reading levels and transform frustration into success. I use one on one personalized instruction to close the reading gap by skipping what is already mastered and focusing on the missing skills and strategies needed for growth. I work with students who need to catch up and those who want to get ahead.
