Test Preparation in New York City

After graduating from Columbia University, I began teaching at a boys boarding school in Midtown. I currently teach Latin 1-3, middle school English, and test prep classes. In addition, I have experience working for test prep companies to help students prepare for the ACT, SAT, SSAT, SHSAT, and PSAT. I have also worked with students and families to prepare high school and college applications. Having worked for various test prep companies, I have been trained and have developed skills to effectively teach tips and tricks to help “game” the math portion of standardized tests. At Columbia University, I majored in Classics and enrolled in undergraduate and graduate level Latin classes. After graduation, I accepted a teaching job, and I now teach middle school Latin at a boarding school (Latin 1-3). Currently, I teach middle school English, and in the past, I have taught classes specifically aimed towards improvement in the reading portion of standardized tests. I have knowledge about various strategies, and I am able to develop personalized strategies which take into account factors such as time management, reading speed, etc. I very much look forward to meeting with you and developing a schedule which is focused on efficiency, growth, and long-term improvement.
