About Us
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Math Education (GPA: 3.95) and Master's degree in Mathematics (GPA: 4.0), both from Ohio University. I received teaching honors such as Ohio University Graduate Associate Outstanding Teaching Award (2013), Student and Teacher Achievement Recognition (2017), and National Honor Society Honor Teacher (2016 and 2017).
As a high school teacher for five years, students consistently said they didn't like math until they took my AP Calculus BC class (admittedly, I'm not sure I completely believed them--who is crazy enough to sign up for an AP course if they disliked the subject?!). Not only did we have fun taking on the challenging concepts, we improved from a 20% pass rate to over 70% on the AP exam.
As a math tutor for the last ten years, I navigated students through math courses from 7th grade math to college level Calculus. I have worked with students individually and in small groups, from teens up through adults working on their dissertations.
