Service Description
Rachid Chafyaay, a native of Morocco (North Africa) and a resident of Macon, Georgia since 2004. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech in Morocco, and his Master's degree; in Secondary Mathematics Education; from Georgia State University. Mr. Chafyaay has been teaching mathematics in Bibb County School District since 2009, and has been serving as the Math department chair since 2011. Mr. Chafyaay has taught all high school math level subjects from Algebra through AP Calculus AB.
Mr. Chafyaay has worked with hundreds of students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and grades level in Middle Georgia area, and helped them achieve their academic goals. He has been tutoring students in math and college entry exams (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, ASVAB and ISEE) and in college level math and graduate college entry exams (GRE and GMAT) since 2006. Mr. Chafyaay has helped many high school students get accepted to top tier universities in Georgia. He has been tutoring mathematics privately in homes, in group settings, and at his High School since 2009. He has been coaching his Math team students in math competitions. He has also worked with local non-profit organization in Macon such as Trio and Alpha Mu Theta to offer on-site group SAT/ACT tutoring since 2012.
In addition to teaching and tutoring Mathematics, Mr. Chafyaay is currently coaching new teachers at Middle Georgia RESA, on how to incorporate his growth mindset strategies in their classroom. Mr. Chafyaay’s language skills; speaking four languages; has helped him reach more people with diverse backgrounds.
Mr. Chafyaay's mission is to help students develop a growth mindset towards learning mathematics to increase their love and confidence in their mathematical abilities, and to inspire them to pursue STEM careers. In 2018, Mr. Chafyaay was selected as Khan Academy ambassador; among 500 people worldwide; to coach teachers, students, and on how to use Khan Academy.

About Me
Dear Students and Parents,
My name is Rachid Chafyaay. I'm a high school math teacher, and test-prep expert with 12 years of teaching and professional experience as a Math teacher, tutor, and teachers’ trainer. I live in Macon, Georgia, where I offer face to face private and group tutoring. In addition, I offer online tutoring and coaching to students worldwide via Skype and other types of online teaching formats.
I specialize in K-8-12 and College Level Math Subjects Tutoring and Test Preparation Tutoring for the Math section only of the SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, and ISEE. I also offer Group Tutoring.
If you are a college graduate, then I can also help you with the Math section of the GRE, and the GMAT. I offer help with your college courses, and private tutoring for the GRE (graduate school) and GMAT (business school).
I am also available (by appointment only) for 30, 60, 90-minute standardized test-prep evaluations for students and their parents. During this consultation, I will provide you with Math test-prep evaluation based on the questionnaires’ answers, and help you and your family to outline a test prep plan for the remainder of the school year.
